Need advice from FOBers!

I have a Negeria customer. It seems he is very interested in our products and ask me to send him quotation, but his payment term is not reasonable, 100% D/P, you know it takes a big risk, and moreover some suggested on the internet that there are lots of liars in Negeria. This time, he gives me a concrete addresss, and his company is xxcxc trade company..... He said he is strict with his payment terms, But 100% T/T i want  because this is the first time to have foreign trade, do not want to take big risk... so how to do? Thanks for i4VyYsh [-YU3HFw
your advice.......

payment by L/C

the terms of payment are very important in our contract.  you say the customer is from Nigeria, so there will be much risk.
Jg*Ze+Y"fq I recommend you make payments by L/C. in this way you are given the guarantee that the bank will give you the money when documents presented.

I think L/C is the safest payment, but it needs many time to check all the items and it costs more than other payments.

It is said that Negeria has bad reputation in the business circle. L/C at sight is necessary.

to do the business in safe way,but don't always think it is a big order, then want to try by risk.
1Tf`*m H by L/C at sight will be accepted, but fully T/T is the best.

If you use LC at sight, it's better to use the confirmed L/C by another countries, like European famous bank or USA, etc..
