鼠叔漱蔬，署鼠数薯。（老鼠的叔叔在洗菜，让老鼠数白薯。/A rat's uncle asks him to count sweet potatoes when he himself washed his vegetables.）
数薯殊，鼠数数数疏，癙。（有几只白薯很特别，老鼠数了几次都数漏了，就很郁闷。/The rat feels frustrated as he missed counting some extraordinary-looking ones repeatedly.）
叔熟数术，鼠述：“孰熟孰数！”（叔叔数东西很熟练，老鼠就说：“谁数得熟练谁数白薯！”/The rat says,"One who is proficient shall take the counting!" as the uncle is a veteran.）
叔恕鼠，述数术（叔叔原谅了老鼠，把数东西的本领讲给老鼠听。/The uncle forgives the rat and tells him how to count correctly.）
鼠倏数薯，书数。（老鼠很快地数了白薯，把数量写了出来。/The rat counts again quickly, and writes down the count.）

I posted my thread in "free talk" so as to amuse our web friends.
Someone moved it here, and would it be too hard for a foreigner who is picking up Chinese?
Maybe some will get frightened, thinking Chinese to be the most difficult language in the world.
Hope not...
Actually there was a combination likewise written by Mr. Zhao Yuanren (赵元任) named Tale of a Mr. Shi Eating Leon (施氏食狮史), which perfectly reflect the advantage of Chinese characters over Latin Pinyin.
This may contribute to those who feels like knowing the history of morden Chinese.
