Successful Branding ¡§C Respect Thy Customers

If you asan advertiser, whether you as an interactiveadvertising agency or a specialist corporate branding firm, have portrayed your customer inpoor light to contrast it with the product utility, you sure as hell havediminished the brand's ability to comfort the self-esteem of those who use it. 'A)w^!B S
This ??highlight bycontrast?? strategy would boomerang as you might have made a pretty entertainingad which might achieve higher recall scores, but you have also established yourbrand as a snob.

Brand users definethemselves through the brands they use, why is it that so many brands insist onportraying their customers as bumbling idiots, rude individuals or societalmisfits? If your product is not real niche one in the category of Rolls Royce (thenyou don??t need to tom-tom your brand, do you?) people with their individualfrailties would never identify with your brand.|]+Wl.B
A brand becomessuccessful when it consistently reflects the same set of values over long timeand when, as a result, the consumer begins to associate those values with thebrand and its owner.

Y%ZF0R/L#^k ^
When this happens thebrand creates a feeling of comfort and trust as customer knows those values andis secure in the knowledge that the brand owner is willing to stick by them..\#~P{p f l2M tV_

The consumers who are willing to trust your brand will trust it evenmore if the brand, in turn, shows them that it trusts and respects them. Tellthem how great you think they are and never say or do anything that belittlesthem.

Show your customer thatnot only should they like your brand because it is trustworthy but because itlets them know that your brand likes them too and thinks of them as the fairestof them all.q.Y%?D-h'Qk_0c |
