I am freshman of foreign trader.Our company often accept 100%T/T or Western Unio-n and the products often deliverd via dsJ?s'`~^4y
air.Now I have a problem as follow,

One of my customers this time pay 30%T/T,and the balance will be paid by B/L and the products will be deliverd via sea.But I

know little of B/L.Could anyone be kindly to explain it or tell me the procedure of shippment via sea??

Bill of lading, means a document which evidences a contract of carriage by sea and the taking over or loading of the goods by the carrier, and by which the carrier undertakes to deliver the goods against surrender of the document. A provision in the document that the goods are to be delivered to the order of the document. A provision in the document that the goods are to be delivered to the order of a named person, or to order, or to bearer, constitutes such an undertaking.

the payment is acceptable by tt 30%,balance against B/L,as B/L is in your hand,the shipment is in your control.we always do like this.

It is acceptable, but please pay attention that consignee in B/L shall be "to order", not definite name of your customer.
