how to contact foreign clients in the first step?
[size=4][color=Red][/color][/size]we are business in network hardware and parts. we especially sepcialize in memory. now we want to explore the foreign market. but what should we do? hunt the clent in the web then send email but always no reply. the boss want me to phone them directly but i think it difficult to do. how should i do the first step?

Yeah, I also have the same sentiment that it's very difficult to searching a serious customer, also keep a friendly relationship with old customers . You know, as i have learned from my other experienced friend, and they told that just keep sending emails to customers more often and don't let them forget us.But after i did like this, i knew that many customers don't like us to do like this way, they felt very boring and told me that: don't send any more as we will let you know if i have demands. or some one advised " we are don't need them and don't have any interests with them":(. L[;w]DY#O!fv
So, i really don't know what should i do for keeping a good business relationship with them. :') Maybe, i mush find other available ways 'W8o&[

I also send the emal to many clints ,but luckly we have a small order in hand now.It take me 3 month send,send ,aways send the email.I think i am crazy,and i will not keep up,but now i have a order,i will keep up and send,send ,send again!

I think at the very first two or three emails, no reply it is ok, maybe you can asked them to reply you simply; then you'd better call them, check wether they got the emails or not; sometimes, maybe your emails treated as junk mail by the system; when call not only ask for their email address, but also tell yours to them. z!P
