I am an apprentice in the business of foreign trade ,but i have done some quotation on some types of steel product  Such as  HR plate.  Now I will write down my calculating way on CFR quotation .   Take HR plate for an example, if the manufacturer's price is RMB5100/MT .then how much should we offer to our client.there are some main factors we should take into consideration :1.the freight from the mill to domestic loading port generally shanghai port or tianjing port to steel trader  here we assume it to be RMB100.00/MT. 2. port charges  RMB50.00/MT, 3.ocean freight  USD25.00/MT.4.relevant Export tax policy (rebate rate 5%). 5.interest cost (considering the period from the date you deliver the deposit to the manufacturer to remittance collection date .)about 1.40%  6.Exchange rate of dollar ,the present is 7.53 . the expected rate is 7.45 two months later. 7.Expense and Profit of this deal USD15.00/MT. Now we can calculate the offer price: {[5100+100+50+(25$*7.50)]*1.014-5100*0.05}/7.45+15$=720.85$. The first quotation is 721$.  If my calculating method has any flaws or i neglect something important,i hope friends on FOB can point out and share your quotation way with us.[/size][/size]   :victory:
